1999 built, 31,779 GRT, 1023 FEU refrigerated container vessels, of ground breaking open hatch design, fitted with 2 electrohydraulic Liebherr Gantry Cranes. Vessels are equipped with a 23,920 KW Wartsila Sulzer RTA 72U main propulsion, Brunvoll bow and stern thruster, and five MAK M32 auxiliary engines with a total generating capacity of 17,280 KW. Vessels are capable of a service speed of 20.5 kts. Provided with state of the art automation, monitoring and navigation systems these vessels are the world’s largest dedicated reefer container vessels.
Operating in a liner service between the US East Coast and the Caribbean coasts of Colombia, Costa Rica and Honduras these vessels carry Dole’s fresh products to major distribution points on the east coast of North America. |
